Gaining Levels
The following is in regards to leveling up your Pokemon. Keep in mind that the staff will be monitoring your PCs regularly and we WILL notice any spontaneous level gains. Levels are to be added on at the END of the battle.
The conditions on the chart must apply to every Pokemon you choose to send out, otherwise your levels gains will be altered accordingly. For example if you are battling with relatively even levels compared to your opponent and suddenly send out something over leveled, the 5+ LV s over section will take precedence and nothing will gain any levels.
Winning a battle:
Similar LV opponent: All participating Pokemon gain 1 LV. Any participating Pokemon which scored a KO gains 2 LVs instead, plus 1 for each additional KO.
5+ LVs under opponent:All participating Pokemon gain 2 LVs. Any participating Pokemon which scored a KO gains 3 LVs instead, plus 1 for each additional KO.
5+ LVs over opponent:Gain 0 LVs
Wild Pokemon: KO delivering Pokemon gains 1 LV./Current Pokemon in use gains 1 LV upon capture of wild Pokemon.
Evolving
-- Pokemon that evolve at a certain level will simply evolve once they reach or pass that level at the end of the battle. Trainers may choose to prevent their Pokemon from evolving and if a Pokemon skips a level in which it learns a move, it may learn it anyway.
-- Some Pokemon evolve only through trades. This will remain the same as you will be able to trade with other members.
-- Pokemon that evolve from radiation from certain stones will require that you find or purchase the specific item needed.
-- Some Pokemon evolve through happiness. These Pokemon will evolve after they have gained at least 5 levels since the time of their previous evolution (10 if they are at stage 1) AND have been given a soothe bell. The soothe bell will work similar to a stone and will make that Pokemon evolve immediately.
-- Some Pokemon evolve while holding items or during certain parts of the day or both. These items can be purchased and the time of day may be implied in RP.
