Ed yawned as he woke up, He was laying on a tree ranch with his leg hanging off of one side. He rolled over, which caused him to fall to the ground with a thump. After pulling himself off the ground and rubbing his nose, He looked towards the town. It was a short distance but far enough that he couldn't be spotted. He quickly put on some heavier clothing to cover his fur. He was going to head into town and didn't want anyone recognizing him as he scoped out things to steal. He put on a hat to cover the base of his ears, laying them down so they could be seen as normal hair, He also put on his mask and tucked his tail into his pants. He now looked like a strange, probably hot, weirdo with a large amount of hair. But other than that suspicion He could be passed off as an odd human. Who really liked to be warm and had an affinity for Eevees. As he headed to town he started thinking. He'd been alone for a long time, perhaps he should start looking for a mate? Nah. He could really use a friend though...

He had started an hour ago and still hadn't reached there, that made him mad. He knew the walk was long but the scent was sickening to him. Why people and pokemon liked to stand there, he did not know. What he did know was that that was another reason he wanted to start with this city for destruction.
The place was filled with people and their pokemon but Keith walked down a path that was isolated from the others. It was quiet and there were no people here, giving Keith time to think.
Thoughts that wouldn't be in any sane person's mind were in his. While 50% of the people thought about world peace and 49% of the people thought about taking over the world, Keith was the 1% that only thought about world destruction. He always said that destruction is better than conquer. Yes, he did understand that everybody had a place in this world but their place was beyond it, death.
Snivy was as angry as Keith was, in his own cute-pokemon way. He stepped on every leaf he could find and kicked every apple that he could reach. It was funny how a pokemon and its master could be so alike yet so different. Each hated the world, but Snivy only did so to show his owner that he wasn't pathetic, but always in vain. All his work used to be thrown away. Nothing he ever did could ever please Keith...
Snivy stopped and sniffed. "Something clogged your nose again? Pathetic thing" He said, coldly. But then he also stopped. He could hear someone here, or sense someone. He didn't like it when someone else found out his secrets, no matter how small they were. And this person has found one of his secrets, although a quiet path in the middle of a forest wasn't what normal people call 'secret'.

Ed smiled under his mask. It shouldn't be too much further with the path he was on. It seemed to be mostly empty but he stopped for a moment. Something didn't feel quite right. His hair on the back of his neck stood up. Ed couldn't quite put his finger on it but he felt like something dangerous was approaching. He stepped to the side of the path. He was going to wait and see who or what is was that made him feel insecure. Or was it in front of him? Dang it why couldn't he be psychic!? Sixth sense only goes so far. After a minute or so he decieded it WAS in front of him. After walking a bit faster he saw someone. Whoever it was, he was walking with a Snivy. Something wasn't right about that trainer. He seemed... Intense. Like he would make babies cry by looking at them. Ed had never seen anyone like this, except that snake that almost ate him. But he had a feeling nothing like that was going to happen with a human.
Ed stopped about 10 yards away and looked at him. As intimidating as he was Ed couldn't help but feel a bit curious. The trainer's Snivy even looked like it was trying to imitate it's trainer's intensity. It actually looked kinda adorable compared to how tough it's trainer looked. Of course Ed realized that would change a LOT once it evolved to the point where it would be able to eat people. But for now it seemed safe enough to meet this strange man. "Hello sir. Are you headed to town as well?"

He turned around and saw a silhouette of a man, a very hairy man, with a cap on. There was nothing wrong with that. What could a normal peasant do to Keith? But as the man got closer Keith realized there was something not normal about him. Although he didn't care much about anything, this man amused him. He had alot of hair, not like a normal person, that stated he was either a pokemorph or a really homeless man that was in need of a shaver.
The man moved his lips, but Keith couldn't hear him over his thoughts. He probably said something a normal person would like "Nice morning isn't it?" or "G'day mate" if he was Australian or "Heading this way?" which is what Keith assumed that man had said. He replied in a 'sort of happy' way by saying "Umm, hi. You going to Aruka?". That was the most friendly Keith had ever been. He wasn't in a bad mood today so he decided to be a good citizen instead of crashing everything in sight. Although, that's what he thought of, he had no reason to show it in his actions today.
Snivy noticed his owner watching the man approach. He had multi colored eyes which scared the poor creature. He knew some pokemon like that but he had never actually seen a person. The thought of having two different eyes scared him, but he knew better than to show it to Keith. The man seemed to have no pokemon with him which made Snivy wonder whether this man was insane to be coming to Keith alone or just stupid and did not know what his master was capable of.
Keith's words caught Snivy by surprise. His master never said a nice word to his soldiers than to say it to a stranger he never met or heard of. There was always a twist to what Keith did and so Snivy thought there was no reason to fidget over his master's decisions.
Keith looked at his Snivy and wondered what he was thinking of. 'Probably nothing, he's just a pathetic, mindless, weak pokemon. Let him be, Keith' He left his thoughts to dwell and kept a close eye on the man, waiting for his next move.

Ed couldn't help but feel a bit irritated when this stranger asked him if he was headed to Aruka. Of course he was, he just asked Keith if he was headed there as well! It showed that the man wasn't really listening to him but Ed took a single second to keep his cool. This guy was probably thinking his really intense thoughts or he had bad hearing in general. So Ed gave a quick nod. "Yup. I heard it's a decent place, might find a good spot to call home but not likely. I prefer to travel." Ed glanced down at the Snivy. It seemed to dislike him for whatever reason. Ed crouched down with his knees pointed out to the side as he looked at the Snivy and put a hand on his hat. "A Snivy huh? I hear they grow up to be pretty intimidating. Yeah I can see it now. One of these days he'll be a lot bigger and he'll probably have eyes just like yours stranger. They say the longer a Pokemon stays with someone the more like them they become." Ed rose back up. "I hope you don't mind if I walk near you. We're going to the same place and you're the most interesting thing I've seen around here so far." Ed looked the trainer in the eyes and felt a shiver go down his spine. "My name is Ed, if you feel like talking to me. If you're not in the mood, well we all have days where we'd like to avoid people don't we?"
Ed was now ready to follow this person if he continued on or wait here a bit longer if he didn't. If he attacked... Well... Ed would find a way to deal with that if it happend. He was pretty sure he could handle the small grass snake. As long as it didn't poison him or anything. He hated being poisoned. All while he thought this he couldn't help but smile. Just being near this man was making his blood pump harder. It was exhilarating. He muttered to himself a bit, "What is so special about this guy? I've never seen a trainer like him. Wait if he's a trainer then he must have..." Pokeballs. Crap, why did he have to think about those? They were terrible! Though this trainer was nice enough to let his Snivy walk along side him so as long as they didn't run into anything he wanted to catch he wouldn't pull one out right? Right. Ed nodded slightly as he reassured himself that no pokeballs were going to make an appearance.

Of Course he was. Keith realized that when the man shook his head. He was a bit talkative, but not too much, just enough to know that he wasn't stupid enough to trick yet not smart enough to not fall into his traps. When the man talked about Snivy Keith had few hopes he was right "I hope so" he said in a mutter. Snivy was a weak pokemon that he was stuck with. He couldn't beat an Oshawott, sure the Oshawott was a bit stronger than him but that didn't mean a Snivy couldn't take it out. "Pathetic" He said mostly to himself. He saw the look Snivy gave the man as he knelt forward, disgust. Keith smirked, at least he knew how to judge people.
Keith didn't like the idea of having someone travel with him but he decided not to say no. He realized that the man wasn't a human, he definitely didn't look nor act like one of the cowardly ones. "Yeah, you can come along" He said.
The man, Ed, had decided to become friendly when he said his name. Keith had learned enough kindness to know that he should say something back. "I'm Keith, Keith Claymore." He said his name in a powerful manner, his tone was normal but the power in it wasn't. Of course Keith didn't want to talk to anyone but one look at Ed and he realized that he could be of use to him.
Keith left his position and walked a bit closer to Ed. He glanced to see if there were any marks of a battle on him when he caught a glimpse of his pointy hair sticking from his head. They did not look like hair, more like ears. Then it hit Keith, he was a pokemorph. Keith was wondering why he didn't realize it before. And without thinking twice he said "You're a pokemorph, aren't you?" He asked in a cold rasp.
Snivy stared as Keith made his way closer to Ed. He knew a plot was stirring in his master's mind, there always was. He noticed the examining Keith did before attacking his prey. He was a lion in disguise. He used other people to get what he wanted then disposed of them when he didn't need them. Snivy hoped to be something in the eyes of his master but he was ashamed of himself. He was a baby, weak to battle and stupid to learn. He realized that unless he evolves, Keith will not like him for his form as a normal Snivy. That made him angry. Why was he a lazy good for nothing? He realized that he couldn't change what he was so he had to work hard to achieve it.
Keith knew pokemorphs were afraid of pokeballs, of being caught. He knew the trouble they passed through, but he did not care. One of his lackeys was a pokemorph, he was a genius. Keith knew pokemorphs were more powerful than humans which is why he hated them. Whenever his co-worker, Ezekiel, made any witty remarks, he imagined doing horrifying things to him, things that shouldn't be in his mind. Although he never did any of them, he always challenged Ezekiel.
Keith said to Ed "Don't deny that you're a pokemorph." He said and then added "I won't hurt you."

Ed was a bit shaken when Keith called him out on what he was. He thought about running but for some reason he felt that running would be the wrong thing to do. "Guess there's no reason to hide what you already know." Ed took off his hat and let his ears stand up. He put it in his bag before removing his mask as well, keeping it in hand. "I guess my little disguise needs some work. Or maybe you're just really observant." His ears twitched a bit and his smile dwindled. "Though from the sound of your voice you aren't very happy to know what I really am. I'm gonna take a guess you don't like people like me. But I guess that's better than wanting me as a pet." Ed reminisced on the girl he'd met when he was little. That was certainly a crazy day. Ed sighed a bit. "Well whatever. You can think what you want about me. I like myself and that's all I need." Ed held his mask over his face, looked to the sky and smiled before pulling it away again. "Come on, Aruka's not too much further. I think." Keith had said he wouldn't hurt Ed but he wasn't so sure that he wasn't going to cause trouble.

As usual, he was right. He could always tell when someone pretended to be something they weren't, except for that day in his past...Keith looked at Ed and tried to figure out what kind of 'morph he was, he could be of use to him. He was a traditional pokemorph, not too special but his kind was different. He was an eevee-morph, something Keith hadn't seen before nor dealt with before. He wasn't sure if eevee meant power or brains, he had to wait and see.
Keith had to admit to himself that Ed's disguise wasn't very bad, he could have fooled almost anyone. Keith just had the experience of many pokemorphs which is how he could recognize him. "Don't worry, it doesn't need anymore than it has." Said Keith to Ed. He had to win this person's trust to use it against him. Of course Keith wasn't entirely sure that he would be good in battle or destruction but he could be a spy.
Keith didn't like to mingle with another pokemorph after his bad meetings with a few others, but he had no choice, and when Edmund said the words he couldn't deny them. "No, I do not like your kind." He said coldly. He didn't care about the feelings of a pokemorph. At first, he was trying to be friendly but it changed to coldness, that was how Keith changed. No one could predict what he would do. "Just the thought of you makes me disgusted, half-breed." He said as harsh as anyone could imagine but then he added "But I wouldn't mind you accompanying me on this journey". He realized that Ed didn't know that Keith was a part of the wrong team. He must've thought that he was just another angry guy, but maybe the thought of an evil villain standing right next to him was a bit extreme for Ed. Keith's mind began to plan his game, set his move. To him, life was a chessboard, one wrong move and you lose, but make a right one and the game is yours. That was how he acted in life. Hasty decisions meant dead ends but a smart one could make a stupid escape from a very smart maze. Keith began to play the game, he knew what had to be done but he couldn't do it the mainstream way. He had to carefully lay out his strategy ahead of him and that was what he was doing at that very moment.
Snivy watched as Keith began to think, there was a strange glint in his eye as he did so which made Snivy shiver. He looked at Ed with pity, he was either doomed or lucky enough to be of use to the boss. Either way, he was dead meat and there was no denying that.
The wind began to whistle an eerie tune in Keith's ear and everything became a little chillier. "Let's go" he said and started walking "We don't have all day". As he walked, Snivy followed keeping very close to him and trying to stay as far from the man as he could.

Ed was unsure how to feel. He'd been complimented, degraded and then ordered around within less than a minute by one person. He sort of smiled then frowned and got a tear in his eye before laughing. "Oh man. You really are special. I've never met someone who could be nice and give a compliment then make the next thing they say so very hurtful. I can't deciede whether to be happy from the niceness or hurt by the grumpyness." Ed put his mask back on and followed Keith. "So what are you looking to do in Aruka? I don't know what I'll do myself. Probably just look around some shops, maybe take something I like. Definitely need to get some food... Maybe climb a building or sneak in an open window for fun." Ed looked down at the Snivy and couldn't help but wonder why it seemed to be avoiding him... He felt a sudden desperate urge to make friends with it. Maybe then it wouldn't ever try to eat him. He cleared his throat a bit and switched into poke-speak. "What's the matter? How come you don't like me?" He tilted his head a bit as he asked his ears moving just like a curious Eevee's.

He had meant to anger him but instead Ed just laughed, the world wasn't really understood by Keith. He wasn't being nice when he told him to keep the disguise on, he just told him to keep it so no one would see him walking next to a freak, but the creature took his words to a wrong turn. It could be for the better, decided Keith. After all, he did seem to be winning the guy's trust.
When Edmund asked Keith what he was going to do in Aruka, the first thought that came into his mind was to say 'none of your business' because he didn't know what he was going to do either. He had got a message from Ezekiel that he was going to be there but he wasn't sure and he wasn't going to let two morphs mingle. He let out a sigh and said "Meet someone..."
Ed's next words took Keith by surprise. He had the guts of an adventurer, no doubt about it. What Keith understood by Ed's words of 'sneak in an open window' was either to spy or to steal. Sneaking was never for fun, there was always a reason. He smirked a little, perhaps Ed could be of very much use to him.
When Ed cleared his throat, Keith knew he was going to talk to Snivy so he ignored him. Snivy, on the other hand, looked interested in what he had to stay. He looked at the tall eevee and said "You're not normal. And what my boss doesn't like, I don't like!" He said, stopping on the road then hopping back to Keith. He was sad that his owner didn't like him but he couldn't say that to a stranger. Master's plans would be thrown over the bridge if he let out more than he was supposed to. Although Snivy was convinced that the man was just an overgrown eevee, he knew better than to trust him. He had been on many trips with Keith and he began to judge people as he did. All he could say was "Are you a thief? Or a good guy?" He didn't mean to say it with innocence, more like a very tough Snivy, but what came out where childish whimpers.

Ed noticed Keith's little smirk. It looked like he found someone who approved of his little 'hobby'. He listened to the Snivy, his ears drooping sadly when he said that neither he or his master liked Ed. He made a mental note to make Keith like him more than anyone he'd ever met. Ok maybe not that much, that could end up weird. But Ed's ears perked back up when he heard the Snivy let it's tougher voice slip to it's gentler, younger one. Ed looked up a moment to think about it. "Well I do steal things pretty often, I'll admit that. Everything but my mask is stolen. I made the mask with a knife I stole. So yeah I'm a thief. But I like to think of myself as good guy. Though stealing isn't really good so... Neither." Ed smiled kindly under his mask at the Snivy. "I'm just a nice guy who happens to greatly enjoy thievery."
"Speaking of theivery actually, let me know if there's any special kind of food you really like. I'll slip you some when I can. Stealing food was the first thing I learned to do." Ed was about to wink at the Snivy but thought better of it, not wanting Keith to think he was planning anything behind his back. "So if you see something you like I'll get it for you. Cause I'm just nice like that. And I get the feeling that getting both you and Keith to like me would be a good thing." Ed laughed a bit before clearing his throat again.
"Meeting someone huh? Not gonna say who or why? All right then. I'll just have to make random guesses to myself then. I think it's either some top secret mission thing or... A girl. That's just my guesses! I don't really know anything so don't get upset if I guessed right or I will know! Which you obviously don't want." Ed smiled more and more under his mask. "Oh and if you ever want me to do a little 'sneaking' maybe pick something up for you, just let me know. First one's free but after that you have to start liking me. At least a little more at a time. Even if I am a freak."
